How to Conquer Motherhood
Are you an aspiring mom, mom to be or a new mom? Becoming a parent is filled with joy, excitement and a little bit (or a lot a bit) of nervousness. There are so many questions and expectations that can leave you overwhelmed. In this course, Wolomi founder and director, Layo George and pediatrician Dr. Kendra B. McDow discuss how to prepare for parenthood and answer questions around choosing a pediatrician, staying healthy during pregnancy for you and the baby, and creating strong parent-baby bonds.
Kendra B. McDow, MD, MPH, FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician, epidemiologist and public health advocate. She is currently an EIS Fellow with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Prior to this, Dr. McDow practiced at a community health center in Silver Spring, MD where she was Health Center Medical Director and the medical consultant for Reach Out and Read, a national early literacy program for children and families. Dr. McDow’s clinical interests are early child development and mental health, supporting new parents, breastfeeding education and promotion of school readiness.
